Inspiration Sparked from Northern Idaho Continues

Today’s Catch by Barbara Benda ©2022

Beverly, my twin sister, and I just returned from one of our favorite places in America: Coeur d’Alene and Hayden, Idaho, where the natural beauty of the mountains and the clean air refreshes us from the inside out. Beverly’s son Alex lives there and it has become more than a place to visit- it is now a place where we have created new friendships, experienced the beauty of golf courses, and enjoyed the friendliness of the people who live there. There will be many paintings to come on this site as I spend the winter creating art from the inspiration of northern Idaho. Beverly and I did some plein air painting at Farragut State Park as well as some studies from Avondale Golf Course and Coeur d’ Alene Public Golf Course- both complete with challenging holes and breathtaking views. We had a couple art showings at The Cork and Tap in CDA and enjoyed connecting with folks there. Here are some watercolors that are a sneak preview to what piqued our interest while we were there. Stay tuned to my website as more will be added to this site.
